Cash/Self Pay

Don’t Let Cost Keep You From a Healthier Life

At Texas Laparoscopic Consultants, we believe that everybody deserves to live a healthier and happier life, regardless of their budget. For many of our patients, their procedure is covered by medical insurance. However, this is not always the case.

Self-Pay

If your procedure isn’t covered by insurance because you have an exclusion on your policy or don’t meet the necessary requirements, or if you don’t have medical insurance, we offer discounted self-pay packages. For information regarding self pay cash pricing, please contact us.

Financing Options

We also offer financing options to help our patients afford bariatric surgery. Please click on the links below for more information.

Tax Deductions

The IRS allows taxpayers who are undergoing bariatric surgery to make essential deductions for procedures, nutritional and weight management counseling, and approved weight loss drugs. Deductions are allowed when uncompensated expenses for treatment exceed 7.5% of your monthly adjusted gross income. Visit the IRS website for more information, and ask your tax professional how you can benefit by making the necessary tax deductions.

Medical Spending Accounts

Some, if not all, of the costs associated with a weight loss program may be reimbursed if you have a healthcare spending account (HSA) or a health reimbursement account (HRA). For more information on this, contact your employer.
